Algol makes a donation for Crisis Management Initiative
Former Finnish President and Nobel Peace laureate Martti Ahtisaari and Crisis Management Initiative (CMI), an organisation founded by him in 2000, are doing a remarkable job in resolving conflicts internationally. To mark Martti Ahtisaari's 80th birthday in 2017, CMI is arranging a special fundraising campaign: https://alakerromartille.fi/.
An organisation with Finnish roots is well suited for the role of peace broker, and supporting world peace is highly relevant also for a company such as Algol. We have survived many kinds of crises during our existence - and our experience shows that peace is good for trade, and trade is good for peace. Prevent violent international conflicts is also an excellent way of celebrating the 100th anniversary of Finland's independence! We have therefore donated 10,000 euro to CMI.
