A new full-suspension motor sport boat seat offers new levels of ergonomic comfort and safety, also for open cabin pleasure boats. The Avento boat seat is manufactured by German company Grammer, which has been developing technologies to optimise sitting in vehicles for over half a century. The Finnish importer is Algol Technics. The new seat will be on display at the 2011 Helsinki International Boat Show this February.
The Avento boat seat is suitable for a wide range of boats thanks to its extremely low-profile, mechanical full-suspension. The backrest and ergonomic design also enhances comfort and safety, even in the most demanding conditions. The company's pioneering seat technology is the result of international co-operation with universities and research institutes around the world.
The suspension on the Avento boat seat features variable weight adjustment to accommodate any user from 45 to 130 kilos. Special shock absorber technology absorbs vibrations, minimises shocks and supports the body, also in extreme situations. The ergonomically designed backrest provides excellent lateral support even at high speeds. The angle of the backrest can also be individually adjusted from a fully upright position to almost flat.
The seat cover is resistant to UV radiation, heat, cold, wind, moisture and salt water. It can also be customised with an embroidered name or signet and is available in around 15,000 different colour combinations.
The development of the innovative boat seat included testing along the Finnish coast. Sales Manager Kari Immonen from Algol Technics served as one of the test drivers and was impressed by the performance. He points out especially that the seat's ergonomics allow the driver to focus fully on driving, while the enhanced comfort makes it easier to drive for longer periods. Kari Immonen will be on hand to tell more about the Avento boat seat on the Algol Technics stand (4e9) at the Helsinki International Boat Show, which runs from 11-20 February at the Helsinki Fair Centre. Welcome to our stand!
Grammer's Competence Center is situated in Amberg, Germany, where its seats are also manufactured. Grammer has approximately 8000 employees in 17 countries and annual net sales of around 727 million euros.
