Knorr-Bremse, specializing in brake systems for rail fleets, in Finland for
exactly eighty years now.

In practice, the co-operation agreement concluded by the companies in 1922 has
run tandem with all the phases of Finnish railway engineering from Ukko-Pekka

locomotives to the eddy-current brakes and modular brake control on high-speed
trains.

The Knorr brake system has a market share in Finland of over ninety per cent.
The system is used in rail fleets on trains in long-distance and commuter
