Back-to-back wins for Algol Pharma in Stetari ad competition
Algol Pharma´s ad for its arthritis remedy Arthryl has repeated its victory in
the product category of the Stetari advertising sompetition organised by the
Finnish Medical Journal (Suomen Lääkärilehti). The latest victory continues a
long line of success by Algol Pharma´s product ads, which have won first place
in all three of the annual Stetari competitions that have been held so far.
Sales Manager Jarmo Niiranen and Marketing Assistant Päivi Virkkunen from Algol
Pharma´s PharmaMed team were responsible for the design of the ad. According to
them, the success of the ad has been a delightful surprise, and it demonstrates
that that the engaging and informative message works also in practice.
The product category of the annual Stetari ad competition includes all
individual ads for prescription medications that have been published in the
Finnish Medical Journal. The jury consists of 120 medical doctors chosen at
random who consider how well each ad grabs the reader´s attention, how clear
the message is, how useful the information is, and what kind of image and
associations are created.
According to the Finnish Medical Journal, the Stetari ad competition aims to
promote the quality and effectiveness of pharmaceutical advertising. The
competition was held for the first time in autumn 2006, when Algol Pharma´s
Astellas Pharma Vesicare ad was voted the best in the product category. Last
year Algol Pharma´s Arthryl ad repeated the victory.
