Algol reorganises the healthcare business
Johan Wulff (MSc) has been appointed Managing Director of Algol Pharma Oy as of 1 January 2012. Johan has successfully headed the pharmaceuticals unit of Algol Pharma since 2006. As managing director Johan will be responsible for Algol Pharma’s business operations inFinland, elsewhere inScandinavia and the Baltics.
The appointment is part of the reorganisation of the healthcare business within the Algol Group. From the beginning of 2012 Algol Pharma Oy will focus entirely on sales and marketing of pharmaceuticals and self-care medicines and providing pharmaceutical services.
The Algol Diagnostics unit and Algol-Trehab, which were previously part of Algol Pharma, will continue their operations as separate companies within the Algol Group. Managing Director Kaarina Lampen will continue to head Algol-Trehab, which specialises in rehabilitation equipment.
Eetu Koski (MSc) has been appointed Managing Director of Algol Diagnostics Oy. Eetu has headed Algol Group’s diagnostics business since 2009. As a new company, Algol Diagnostics Oy and its subsidiaries will continue the existing diagnostics business inFinland,Scandinavia and the Baltics. The formation of Algol Diagnostics Oy allows the company to focus more clearly on customers, services and products in the healthcare and laboratory diagnostics sector.
