New managing director appointed for Algol Technics

Pekka Järvinen, M.Sc. (Techn), has been appointed as the new managing director
of Algol Technics as of 1 January 2007. The current managing director Simo
Uusitalo, who had his term extended by one year, will continue with the company
in a development role before retiring in spring 2007.

Pekka Järvinen has work experience as R & D Director at Finland Post and almost
six years as Managing Director of the Finnish subsidiary of transportation
giant DHL. He transfers to Algol from his own company Growth Works, which is
specialized in consulting start-up companies and focused on developing and
analysing client benefits. This specific area is parallel with the service
organization of Algol Technics that is centred on business areas. According to
Pekka Järvinen, the main aim of the development is to shift even more intensely
from selling products to selling benefits, working in partnership with
customers to find optimized solutions that meet their exact needs.
