Algol´s Construction Technology unit merged with Kaitos

Algol has merged the Construction Technology unit of the Technical Division with the newly acquired subsidiary Kaitos. The arrangement is designed to strengthen the sales organization which deals with construction products within the Algol Group. Director of the Technical Division Sten Lindgren says that combining the resources and the two complementary product ranges obviously means synergy benefits. Kaitos Oy, established in 1989, is specialized in marketing civil engineering products. The entire share capital of the company was acquired by Algol in December 2000. Kaitos will continue as Algol´s subsidiary forming part of the Technical Division´s operations. Kaitos, with its reinforced resources, focuses on geosynthetic products for civil engineering. Its business areas are road construction, weak soil construction,environmental construction,and house and bridge building. The company is the market leader in its principal sector in Finland.
