Algol Technics and Anttila sign agreement for major delivery
Algol Technics has signed an agreement for the delivery of warehousing
equipment to Anttila Oy´s new logistics centre, which will open in Kerava,
Finland, at the start of 2011. The agreement represents one of the largest in
the company´s history in the field of materials handling technology.
Algol Technics will supply the new logistics centre with a box conveyor system,
packaging stations and robots for handling plastic boxes.
Algol Technics will design and deliver the entire package. Its partners in the
project are Dematic and ABB. The Algol package is part of the new logistics
centre´s solution for combining Anttila´s collection activities for its
department stores and branches.
According to Sales Director Tero Mäki, who finalised the agreement, the
customer´s decision was based on the criteria of user-friendliness, energy
efficiency, reliability and efficient use of space. At the ceremony to sign the
agreement, Anttila emphasised the importance of good references and the
professional skills of Algolites, who were able to provide a solution that
benefits the customer.
Equipment deliveries will begin in May 2010.
