Algol Chemicals strengthens position in metal surface treatment
Algol Chemicals AB and Enthone AB have agreed on a business transfer of Enthone AB activities in Sweden to Algol as of February 1st 2011. The deal will include three of the current employees, offices, warehouse and laboratory located in the city of Norrköping, all dedicated to serve electroplating industry in Scandinavia. The turnover of the transfer business is approximately 2,5 million euro.
At the same time Enthone Limited and Algol Chemicals Oy have agreed on to widen the territory of the current exclusive distribution agreement of Enthone electroplating products for Finland and the Baltic States to cover also Sweden, Norway and Denmark.
These transactions will significantly strengthen one of our strategic industry segments - Metal Surface Treatment, especially electroplating industry - as well as offer us access to the customer base in Scandiavia for our whole portfolio of metal surface treatment products.
Administratively this new business will be part of Algol Chemicals AB and operatively part of Business Unit CPM - Focus Team Metal Surface Treatment.
