New hoist series offers 20 percent longer lifespan

Algol Technics has introduced a new series of hoists to the Finnish market. The
new Demag hoists offer a lifespan that is approximately 20 percent longer than
normal industry standards. The series includes two types: a chain hoist and a
rope hoist. Work safety, versatility and low maintenance have also been central
in the development of these new products. The hoists are manufactured by Demag
Cranes & Components GmbH of Germany.

Demag DC chain hoist:
20% longer lifespan maximises productivity

With a lifespan that is approximately one-fifth longer than the official
industry standard, combined with service intervals of up to ten years, the new
Demag DC chain hoist maximises efficiency and productivity. The electric chain
hoist is also a versatile tool: with a lifting range of 125-2000 kg, the Demag
DC is suitable for industrial, construction, logistics and maintenance
processes.

Work safety has been a priority in the design of the new Demag DC chain hoist.
Key solutions include a control pendant that can be adjusted to any height, a
self-monitoring brake/coupling system, and a compact, ergonomic design that
comes ready for use. With its long list of standard features, the DC chain
hoist is easy to operate. Simply hook the folding suspension bracket into the
trolley of suspension eye, plug in the connector and the hoist is ready to lift.

Demag DR rope hoist:
Travel speeds up to 30 meters per minute

Optimised for crane applications, the Demag DR rope hoist offers excellent
productivity, with long and cross travel speeds up to 30 meters per minute. The
DR rope hoist is also extremely efficient, with versatile usability and a
lifespan that is 20 percent longer than the industry standard. A frequency
inverter provides infinitely variable cross travel speeds, fast and exact
positioning and gentle handling of sensitive loads. This also result in a
significant reduction of the mechanical load on the crane installation. The
Demag DR rope hoist design provides outstanding approach dimensions for better
utilization of the space served by the crane. The hoist has a lifting range of
1000-10,000 kg.

The DR rope hoist has also been designed to offer maximum work safety. The
hoist is operated remotely using either cable or radio controls, both of which
have been ergonomically designed. The highly sensitive and low-sway travel
motions make the DR rope hoist ideal for handling goods with easily-damaged
surfaces.
