Björn Fredlund companies to adopt Algol name at the turn of the year

The Björn Fredlund companies, which form part of Algol Chemicals, will adopt
standardised corporate names on 1 January 2005 following the retirement of
founder Björn Fredlund. Björn Fredlund will be succeeded in his post as
Managing Director by Christoffer Lindqvist, currently acting as Business
Development Director at Algol Chemicals in Finland. The Björn Fredlund
companies are specialised in the distribution of industrial chemicals in
Sweden, Norway and Denmark.

Björn Fredlund AB in Sweden will continue its operations under the name Algol
Sverige AB. Its sales office in Denmark has been formed into an independent
company, Algol Chemicals ApS. Christoffer Lindqvist will act as Managing
Director of both companies.

Bjorn Fredlund AS in Norway will continue its operations under the name Algol
Chemicals AS. Erik Karstensen will continue as local head of the company.

The Björn Fredlund companies operationally joined the Algol Group in 2001, when
Algol acquired its entire share capital. Following the restructuring of the
Algol Group at the beginning of 2004 the Björn Fredlund companies have operated
as subsidiaries of Algol Chemicals.
