Algol reinforces its technical maintenance servicing in Central Finland

Algol has acquired the share capital of the Finnish company Empiria Oy, which
specializes in maintenance services for lifting and transport equipment in
Jyväskylä in Central Finland. The operations of Empiria will be incorporated
with Algol´s Materials Handling Division at the beginning of September 2002.

The acquisition aims at strengthening Algol´s lifting and transport technology
operations in Central Finland in a situation where the demand for maintenance
services has grown powerfully throughout the Finnish market.

Algol will turn Empiria into a center for the sales and maintenance of lifting
and transport equipment in the economic zone of Jyväskylä. Empiria´s former
owner and director, Mr. Seppo Nyrönen, was appointed regional manager of the
center.

Algol´s Materials Handling Division specializes widely in the deliveries of
lifting, transport and warehouse equipment and systems. Its technical
maintenance network covers all of Finland.
